Garage Church

As Jordan and I were lounging at the kitchen table this morning my oldest son Noah burst through the garage door and said (in his typical first born demanding voice), “It’s time for church, we are all ready, so come on!” Of course we followed our six year old out the door to garage church. He then strapped on his red plastic guitar, adjusted his bunny ears mic stand/microphone combo, yelled to his younger brother, “hit the lights” (which was his cue to turn the garage lights off) and so we stood in the half light and sang a lively version of, “I’ve got the joy down in my heart.” Then Jordan, at Noah's request, gave a quick message (note the yellow plastic screwdriver hand held mic) we closed in prayer, including the Team Refuge "clap" made by the boys. It was hysterical/awesome on so many levels. Kids, they don't miss a thing!
